
Donald Macleod of Kendrom, near Kilmaluag Skye born 1746, emigrated to Belfast PEI on the Polly in 1803, settling at Earnscliff, PEI. Donald died in 1830 PEI. He married on Skye in 1769, in Kendrom Trotternish, Catherine Macdonald born 1750 skye died 1801 Skye. She was sister to Margaret Macdonald, John of Kinloch Macdonald's wife. Catherine died on Skye, and her widower Donald Macleod emigrated with his grown up family to PEI. These Macleods came to be known locally as the "Horo" Macleods.
These sons were:
I. Malcolm Horo Macleod settled Earnscliffe, (Gallows Point), PEI, married Rachel Macqueen
II.Murdoch Horo Macleod, settled Orwell Cove, PEI, married Flora Nicholson
III.. Roderick Horo Macleod settled Orwell Cove, PEI, married Miss Mackenzie
IV.Alexander
