1700's MACLEOD, ALEXANDER, he was possibly the son of Murdo, son
of Norman of Cuidrach, son of Murdo of Raasay, styled the tutor, son of
Alexander Macleod IV of Raasay. He married CATHERINE MACQUEEN d/o Reverend
William Macqueen (1720-17 sept 1787) He was tacksman of Peinmore and later
of Camustinavaig, Parish of Portree, Skye. They had children;

2.Captain Murdo Macleod m. Marion Macdonald, d/o
Major Alexander Macdonald, tacksman of Cuidrach (adjoining Kingsburg) and
his wife Annabella, d/o Captain Hugh Macdonald of Armadale. Captain Murdo
was alive in 1826 but dead by 1829, for the tack was renewed from Whitsunday,
1829 to Arthur Stewart, who succeeded "Murdo Macleod's heirs in the tenancy.
Captain Murdo and Marion Macdonald had children;
a.Margaret Macleod m. Reverend
Alexander Macdonald a teacher and minister in Rogart.
b.Annabella Macleod b. c1792,
m. James Munro M.D. s/o George Munro, miller of Strath
Skye and his wife Janet Macqueen. They emigrated to PEI in 1840. She died
in Alberry
Plains PEI in August 1852 aged 60 yrs.
